Emerging Gqom producer, Mr G has gotten over the “Killer Kau” drama and is back with some new music to lighten up or Friday afternoon. This one is titled Le Walk and it features Nuna and Sbucardo.
Mr G, real name, Shaun Govender is not new to the music industry. His earlier releases include Movida and Hirimiki which were widely received and well loved. In 2016 he featured on SABC 1’s Masters Of Spin where he showed off his mixing and production skills and this got him much deserved recognition.
His new joint, Le Walk is taken off Mr G’s latest project, Gqom Power Vol 1 which he dropped last month. This is the same project that contains the joint that Kiler Kau allegedly stole. Mr G considers this version of Le Walk as “a special edit made to make your summer that much fun if you want to blow some steam”.
Mr G first heard Le Walk when he was with Afro Origins’ Pap’zo and at that time it was an unreleased original Sgubhu joint. He fell in love with it and within no time, Mr G and Tembisa native Pap’zo weGqom, linked up and turned the song into the complete hit.
Everything about the song sounds complete and fresh. Nuna’s vocals on the chorus are like a war cry fused with electronic sounds and raw percussion. Sbucardo co-produced this one alongside with Mr G.
